Waterproof Wall Coating for Swimming Pools and Humid Environments
Wall Coating System 10 is a two-part water-based epoxy coating that combines the durability of traditional epoxy resins with the ease of application of a conventional emulsion paint.
Ideal as a swimming pool wall paint, it is designed for pool enclosures, walls, ceilings and other areas exposed to moisture, humidity and condensation. It dries to form a tough, waterproof matt finish that is easy to clean and maintain while providing excellent resistance to oils and many mild chemicals.
For surfaces that will be permanently submerged in water, such as the inside of swimming pools, we recommend our Swimming Pool Paint. Wall Coating System 10 is intended for surrounding walls, ceilings and high-humidity areas where a durable waterproof coating is required.

How to Use
How to Use
Surface Preparation
Wall Coating System 10 can be applied over most existing paints and coatings, although the best results are achieved when surfaces are clean and free from previous finishes. All surfaces should be damp dry and free from running or standing water. Particular attention should be paid to removing grease and other contaminants before application.
Mixing
The performance of the coating can be seriously impaired if these instructions are not followed correctly.
1. Stir the contents of the larger container.
2. Pour the entire contents of the smaller container into the larger container, ensuring as much material as possible is scraped out.
3. Mix thoroughly using a mechanical mixer for a minimum of 3 minutes.
4. Continue mixing for a further 2-3 minutes to ensure complete dispersion of both components.
Pot Life
As a two-part epoxy system, Wall Coating System 10 has a limited working time once mixed. The pot life is approximately 1.5 hours at 20°C. Higher temperatures will reduce the available working time.
Application
Do not apply below 10°C (50°F) and ensure a minimum 4-hour dry weather window.
Wall Coating System 10 can be applied to mildly damp surfaces but must not be applied to standing water.
For simplicity, we recommend using a separate pack for each coat. If using a single pack for both coats, the resin and hardener must be divided equally and mixed separately for each coat. We recommend measuring by volume using a measuring jug to ensure accuracy.
Application Steps
1. Clean and prepare the surface before application. Any leaks or defects should be repaired using Antel Waterstop, Antel Epoxy Putty or Antel SBR Bonding Agent. If you are unsure, please contact us for technical advice.
2. Mix both components thoroughly according to the instructions above.
3. Apply the first coat by brush, roller or spray.
4. At temperatures above 20°C, allow approximately 6 hours before applying the second coat. At temperatures below 20°C, allow 24 hours before recoating.
5. Apply the second coat.

Packaging
A two part product available in 1, 2.5 and 5 litres. Non-returnable containers.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry and frost free area in original containers. Protect from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children. A shelf life in excess of 12 months can be expected for unopened containers kept in the above conditions.
Drying & Curing
At 20 degrees C and with reasonable ventilation, the coating is touch dry in 6 hours and hard dry in 12 hours. Maximum cure, hardness and chemical resistance is obtained within 7 days.
Coverage
Every litre of Wall Coating System 10 will cover approximately 6-7 squared metres (based on a non porous, smooth surface), however this will vary depending on how thickly you apply the material and also how porous the surface is.
If you are unsure on the porosity of the surface, we recommend you buy a little more than you think you will need to ensure you don’t run out part way through the application.
Cleaning Equipment
When using spray equipment a thorough rinsing with cold water every hour will prevent a build up of cured material. Brushes and rollers should be washed with cold water and detergent and rinsed thoroughly in cold water.
Health & Safety
Wall Coating System 10 is much safer to handle than other resin systems, however, it is recommended that all skin contact is avoided and that any areas of contact are washed immediately with soap and warm water. It is advisable to use a barrier cream and gloves when applying.

Received sound advice!
We received fantastic help and advice from Julian whilst we planned and executed the build of our pool. From the waterproofing, through to the specialist paints, we received sound advice and it was never too much trouble for them. I’ll also say that their calculation of the quantities meant we didn’t spend more than we needed to. Thanks for everything, through each step we took.

FAQs about our Swimming Pool Paint
How long does epoxy swimming pool paint last?
With correct preparation and application, epoxy pool paint can last several years. For harsh environments or saltwater pools, applying an additional clear coat will help extend the lifespan.
Can I apply pool paint myself?
Yes, this epoxy swimming pool paint is suitable for DIY use, as well as professional application. Proper preparation is key to achieving the best results.
Can this be applied over existing paint?
Yes, PoolCoat System 10 can often be applied over existing paint. However, for best results, the surface should be clean, free of loose paint, and sanded to create a good bond.
How many coats of pool paint do I need?
The standard application is three coats: two coloured coats and a final clear coat for protection and gloss. For pools with rougher surfaces or saltwater, a second clear coat may be recommended.
What temperature should pool paint be applied at?
For best results, apply between 15–20°C. Avoid applying in cold, damp, or shaded conditions where curing may be slower.
When can I refill my pool after painting?
You'll need to wait 3-7 days after applying the final coat before refilling your pool. Warmer temperatures can shorten this curing time to 3 days.
What surface preparation is required before applying epoxy pool paint?
Successful pool repainting depends on thorough preparation. The pool surface must be clean, dry and structurally sound. All grease, algae, chalking and contaminants should be removed. Cracks and defects must be repaired prior to coating. Loose or incompatible paint should be removed, and smooth or non porous surfaces lightly sanded to improve adhesion. Proper preparation is essential for achieving maximum lifespan from the epoxy swimming pool coating.
How much pool paint do I need?
Coverage is approximately 30–35m² per 5 litres. For accurate quantities, use a pool paint coverage calculator based on your pool size.
