Water Based Epoxy Coating

Antel Water Based Epoxy Coating is a universal, two-pack epoxy resin coating designed for easy and safe application. Applied in a similar manner to ordinary emulsion paint, it dries quickly to form a tough, easily cleaned coating that provides a waterproof barrier.

This versatile water based epoxy coating possesses many of the properties of conventional epoxy resins, with the added advantage of being suitable for application to dry or mildly damp surfaces where many other coatings cannot adhere.

The coating is non-toxic once cured and provides good resistance to oil and most mild chemicals, making it suitable for a wide range of waterproofing, weatherproofing and protective applications. It can also be used as a decorative finish on concrete, brick, cement, masonry and fibreglass surfaces.

Subsequent overcoating can be carried out once the original surface has been thoroughly cleaned and degreased.

Coverage Guide

Coverage is approximately 6 to 7m² per litre on smooth, non-porous surfaces.

Approximate coverage per pack:

• 1 Litre: Covers approximately 6 to 7m²
• 2.5 Litres: Covers approximately 15 to 17m²
• 5 Litres: Covers approximately 30 to 35m²

Coverage will vary depending on the texture and porosity of the substrate. For rough or highly absorbent surfaces, we recommend allowing additional material to ensure sufficient coverage.

Drying & Curing

At 20°C (68°F) with reasonable ventilation, Antel Water Based Epoxy Coating is:

• Touch dry: Approximately 6 hours
• Hard dry: Approximately 12 hours
• Maximum cure, hardness and chemical resistance: Approximately 7 days
  

Drying and curing times may be extended in cooler temperatures, high humidity or areas with poor ventilation.

For best results, avoid exposing the coating to heavy wear, standing water or chemicals until it has fully cured.
