1.  DESCRIPTION

Antel Epoxy Bagging Coat is a twin pack resin system ideal for bonding a multitude of surfaces including filling voids in concrete blocks prior to epoxy paint application, fibre glass, concrete, wood, steel and bonding brick together. It can be used as a crack/void filler. When cured it exhibits very high compressive and tensile strength in comparison to concrete.

It can be applied as a skim coat in application depths of 300µm to 5mm, providing a smooth, hard finish to damaged, rough and porous concrete surfaces. It is ideal as a smoothing mortar prior to the application of protective or finished coatings. It will provide a "harder than plaster" finish to walls, floors and multiple types of substrates where conventional materials would be ineffective.

Epoxy Bagging Coat may be applied using a roller or plasterers squeegee.  The two part system gives rapid strength gains, obtaining mechanical properties superior to concrete in a fraction of the time. The product is non- shrink, enabling complete fill of the grouting area. The hardened material is resistant to most chemicals, stable in sea water, petroleum products and resists freeze thaw cycles. AntelBagging Coat is ideally suited for vertical and overhead priming, ideal when required to resist high levels of vibration e.g. crane rails, stamping machinery, rail fixings and anchors e.g. bedding metal fixing plates, anchor bolts, under stanchion plates and machinery and structural fixing flanges.

2.  USES

  1. Gap filling adhesive.
  2. Timber bonding.
  3. Concrete, brick and stone bonding.
  4. Patch repair.
  5. Priming in vertical and overhead areas.
  6. Bedding metal fixing plates, anchor bolts.
  7. Filling voids in concrete blocks.

3.  PACKAGING

1 KG, 2.5 KGS and 5 KGS.

4.  USAGE RATE

Epoxy Bagging Coat

5 KGS will cover 8-10m2

Application method: Squeegee/trowel.

5.  INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.

5.1 Preparation:

All surfaces should be clean and free from all loose material. Free water should be removed from the surface but the surface does not need to be dry. Ensure that the surfaces are free from dust and oily contamination. Small gaps may be blown out using clean dry compressed air. Steel should be free of rust and flaking mill scale.

5.2 Mixing:

Thoroughly mix Pack 'B'. Empty the entire contents of Pack 'B' into Pack 'A' and mix again. Mixing should be carried out by a slow speed mechanical stirrer, or by hand using a flat bar paint mixer. Stirring should continue until a complete mix is achieved.

5.3 Application:

Pour Bagging Coat onto a board to dissipate heat.   The mixed material can be applied by brush or trowel.  When being used to fill the open face of concrete blocks, a tiler’s squeegee or soft float is the recommended application method.

The cured surface can be over-coated with Antel Epoxy Solvent Free Coating.

For cracks or holes etc, the mixed material can be placed in a bulk fill gun, from which it can be dispensed.

5.4 Cure schedule:

Pot life                             30 minutes @ 20°C

Initial cure                        8-10 hours @ 20°C

Full cure                           3 days @ 20°C
