1. DESCRIPTION
Antel Epoxy Putty is a two part epoxy resin material with excellent adhesion to most building materials - wet or dry - even under water. It has very good chemical resistance coupled with excellent bond strength. Although outwardly rigid Epoxy Putty will accommodate approximately 5% tension and flexure.
2. USES
Used to seal a wide variety of vertical and horizontal joints in such situations as:-
1. Swimming pools and other water retaining structures.
2. Water tanks/sewerage treatment plants.
3. Abattoirs.
4. Food processing plants.
Joints in concrete and earthenware pipes can now be effectively sealed. Ideal for sealing joints in acid resistant floor tiles where chemical resistance is required. Excellent for bedding concrete or quarry tiles in wet situations. As a putty type adhesive for most materials found in the construction industry.
3. PACKAGING
Epoxy Putty is supplied in two parts. Pack A and
Pack B making a total of either 500g or 1kg of mixed material.
Non returnable containers.
4. COLOUR
Standard Grade - GREY - WHITE - BLACK – BUFF
5. USAGE RATE
1 kg will seal 5 linear metres in a joint section 12 mm wide by 12 mm deep. Please refer to the table on the following page for further coverage details.
6. MIXING
Ensure that both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ packs have been warmed in a bucket of hot water for 30 mins prior to mixing when the temperature is below 15°C and do not apply to a substrate that’s below 0°C. While wearing latex gloves, take equal quantities from Packs ‘A’ and ‘B’ and thoroughly mix together by hand until a completely uniform colour is obtained without streaks. Keep gloves damp to make the mixing process easier. Do not mix more material than can be used within 20 minutes.
7. APPLICATION
Immediately after mixing, press the Epoxy Putty into the joint sides with a trowel or palette knife to obtain maximum contact.
8. SHELF LIFE/STORAGE
Epoxy Putty has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in the original SEALED CONTAINERS. Keep in cool, dry frost free conditions in original sealed containers. Protect from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children.
9. HEALTH & SAFETY
This product contains epoxy resin and hardeners which are known to cause skin irritation to some people. Wear protective clothing and wash well on completion of each work session.
